Induction Specialist

3 weeks to go until moving to the sandpit! I have officially resigned from my office, after a 6 year-long of 9 to 5 work, it really feels good, lol! Time really flies in, and I have only started reading through the workbook and writing a list that keeps on growing by day. A week ago I found out who my Induction Specialist would be. So the link on the portal has turned red and allows us to click on it for an introductory letter. I decided to send her a little introductory email of myself though :) image The rumours said that finding out who your Induction Specialist is also going to determine which fleet you will be trained on. I have found out that my friend and some new joiners who got the same IS as me are currently being trained on B777/A380. Some people worry about being chosen whether for Main Fleet (will be trained on B777 and A330/A340) or B777/A380, because of the destinations, rosters, turnarounds/layovers, or so on. For me, honestly I don’t really care, as long as I got the job, just enjoy whatever you will get, as there will be advantages and disadvantages from each of them and study well so you will pass all the exams and the whole intensive training. That’s something we should care about the most. Now I’m going to enjoy my few weeks break before Dubai, hopefully will start packing in my stuff next week ;)

Hi, I’m wondering if you think that languages that you speak have an impact on what fleet you will be trained on, or any other factors?

Hello! I can’t say much about this. Because at one point it might be one of the factors, but it’s not always necessarily so, sometimes your nationality and other factors can affect that too :)
